Visiting Tbilisi is always a magical experience. The city’s stunning architecture, vibrant streets, and mouthwatering cuisine make it one of the most captivating destinations in the world. But this time, my journey was about more than just discovering hidden gems and cultural wonders—I also witnessed something deeply moving: the Georgian people’s unwavering fight for their European future.
Walking down Rustaveli Avenue, I found myself in the middle of peaceful protests. Thousands of passionate, determined Georgians were demanding democracy, freedom, and integration into Europe, opposing a government that leans toward Russian influence. Their voices echoed with hope, their flags waved with purpose—this was more than a protest, it was a declaration: Georgia belongs to Europe. This experience convinced me that Georgians are truly European in spirit, values, and identity.
Their warm hospitality, deep-rooted history, and strong will for independence make it clear—Georgia is a European nation fighting for its rightful place. Beyond the movement, Tbilisi still enchanted me—from the cozy cafés in Sololaki to the breathtaking views of Narikala Fortress and the sulfur baths' timeless charm. And, of course, the food! Every bite of khinkali, khachapuri, and mtsvadi tasted like home, shared with people whose hearts are as big as their hospitality.
