Udziro Lake
The Udziro Lake is situated in Racha region, in the north western Georgia, near the villages of Glola and Shovi. It is located at an elevation of 2800 meters above sea level. The name of the lake translates as “lake without bottom.”
One can reach Udziro from the resort Shovi. The trek takes about 2 days. The best time to visit the lake is in July and August, when the snow is already melted in this area. During the trip the visitors will see a beautiful pine forests, alpine valleys and several summits of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range around, such as Tetnuldi, Shkhara, Ushba etc.
The main sites to visit near Udziro Lake are village Glola, resort Shovi, Racha, Oni and Ambrolauri.
