Golden Lake
Golden Lake, situated in Samegrelo near Poti city along the Maltakva River, is a purpose-built rowing lake. Specifically designed as a sailing channel for training and Competitive Tournament Water Skiing, it adheres to Olympic standards, drawing water sports enthusiasts. With dimensions of approximately 1000-1200 meters in length, 120-150 meters in width, and a middle depth of 4-6 meters, the lake is divided into two parts by a special net. The first part is fish-friendly, while the second part is home to perch. Hosting the European Championship in rowing in 1991, Golden Lake accommodates various fish species such as carp, amur, karchkhana, shamaya, mullet, and sturgeon.
