Merebashvili's Marani
The Merebashvili family winery, situated in Kaspi town, Georgia, blends age-old traditions with modern techniques to craft artisanal wines. With a focus on authenticity, they produce unique Georgian wines using indigenous and rare grape varieties like Goruli Mtsvane and Shavkapito, sourced from their own organic vineyard in the renowned Okami valley. Using traditional Georgian qvevri methods, they produce wines including Chinuri and Tavkveri, famous in the Shida Kartli region.
To truly appreciate these wines, a visit to the winery is a must. The wine tasting room offers a unique experience blending wine, food, and local culture. Guests can sample Merebashvili's family wines, indulge in homemade food and wine pairings, and immerse themselves in Georgian traditions.
Beyond wine tasting, visitors can explore the vineyard, learn about traditional winemaking techniques, witness the production of Chacha (grape vodka), visit a small-scale honey bee farm, participate in culinary workshops featuring traditional Georgian dishes, and savor the diverse cuisine of the Shida Kartli Region.
