Winery Pheasant's Tears
The winery Pheasant's Tears was founded in 2007 by artist John Wurdeman and winmaker Gela Patalishvili. The name ‘pheasant’s tears’ is connected to a Georgian tale in which only the very best wines are good enough to make a pheasant cry of joy.
Slightly different techniques are used to make each of the wines. Some have moderate skin contact, others have minimal (from 3 weeks to 6 months). Authentic tradition, local culture and endless creativity mixed up with Kakhetian culinary made the place prominent.
