Tamari Wine Cellar
Tamari Wine Cellar Tamari is a family-owned winery nestled in the Kakheti region, renowned as Georgia’s premier wine-producing area. Spanning 6 hectares of vineyards, Tamari is dedicated to crafting natural wines using the traditional Kakhetian method of “Qvevri”.
Tamar Dighmelishvili, the lady-winemaker from the village of Shashiani, brings her expertise to each bottle. Located in the Gurjaani micro-zone, their vineyards benefit from alluvial and deluvial soils, fostering the unique qualities of Rkatsiteli and Kakhetian Mtsvane grapes. These conditions give rise to wines characterized by a light straw color, harmonious taste, and a refined, aromatic bouquet.
Tamari's wine cellar is a testament to their commitment to producing Qvevri wines that authentically reflect the terroir of their vineyards. With a focus on natural fermentation, additives-free production, and no filtration or fining, Tamari wines truly embody the essence of natural winemaking.
Throughout the year, Tamar’s wine cellar welcomes wine lovers and enthusiasts to experience the unique flavors of their Qvevri wines firsthand.
