Ucha Macharashvili's Marani

Ucha Macharashvili is the proud owner of a quaint family winery nestled in the picturesque Upper Imereti region of West Georgia, specifically situated in the Sachkhere municipality's village of Makhatauri. Our winery specializes in three exquisite wines: Tsolikouri, Dzelshavi, and Rko. Each of these wines is meticulously crafted using traditional methods, including fermentation with the skin.

In addition to our delightful wine offerings, we also invite guests to partake in immersive masterclasses that highlight various aspects of Georgian culinary tradition. These include traditional bread baking in a tone fire oven, the art of churchkhela dipping, and the intricate process of chacha distillation.

Our winery and yard boast a charmingly simple design, reminiscent of old traditional styles, with a harmonious blend of woods and clay that adds to the rustic ambiance of the surroundings.
