Art Palace of Georgia - Museum of Cultural History

Museum of Cultural History, often simply referred to as Art Palace, is located in Tbilisi, Kargareteli street, on the left bank of river Mtkvari near Agmashenebeli Avenue. Until 2020, it was officially called the Georgian State Museum of Theater, Music, Cinema, and Choreography.

Museum is located in a 19th-century palace, built-in 1895 by the famous German architect Paul Stern and initially owned by the Duke Constantine Petrovich of Oldenburg. Palace was renovated several times, significantly in 2011. There is a small garden around the palace.

Museum boasts a vast collection of various art pieces and historical artefacts. Seven exhibition halls houses sculptures and paintings of Georgian and foreign artists, around 40,000 manuscripts, over 32,000 books, up to 100,000 photos, more than 70,000 posters, hundreds of rare audio recordings on gramophone records, over 900 memorial objects, and personal relics.
