Bardanashvili's Marani
Bardanashvili's family winery Marani in Kakhetii has been producing traditional Qvevri wine, without any additional supplements. The small cellar is located in Vardisubani village, known for its continuous tradition of handmade Qvevri production. Qvevri, a clay jar buried underground and covered by earth, is used for fermenting and storing wine in a cool environment.
"In our winery, you will experience a cozy rural atmosphere and see a 70-year-old vineyard with 4 different grape varieties. The grapes grow on the plateau of Tsivi mountain micro zone. In our 112-year-old wine cellar, you will discover old Qvevri vessels, traditional homemade dishes, homemade white, rose, and red wines, and Chacha," says the owner, Mr. Bardanashvili.
