Twins Wine Cellar
Wine museum and company "Twins Wine Cellar" is situated in village Napareuli, at the heart of Georgia's major wine-making region - Kakheti, in 25 km from town Telavi, east Georgia.
Twins Wine Cellar was established by twin brothers Gia and Gela Gamtskitsulashvili. Winery focuses on traditional Kakhetian wine production, with longstanding family traditions. Cellar has over 135 qvevris (traditional Georgian clay vessel for storing and fermenting wine), most of them with 3,5-4,5 tonnes of storage capacity. Visitors of the cellar and museum will be able to see all the traditional wine-producing equipment and watch the process of wine fermentation and production.
Twins' Wine Cellar makes their wine of Rkatsiteli, Kakhetian Green, Saperavi, Khikhvi, Kisi, Cabernet sorts of grapes, harvested in Napareuli microzone that gives the product a special flavour with moderate tannins and original taste. Moreover, Twins' wines are not processed chemically and are fermented in qvevri, according to traditional Kakhetian methods. Twins Wine Cellar has been exporting its wine to Japanese, Russian, German, English, and Chinese markets.
Winery offers modern boutique hotel with 22 rooms,restaurant, outdoor swimming pool and sauna.
Visitors can book cooking master-classes: bread backing in Tone, preparation of Khinkali (Georgian dumplings), Khachapuri (pizza style with cheese only), churchkhela preparation and wine degustation.
