This exclusive wine tour is created for wine specialists and wine enthusiasts. The itinerary covers Kakheti, a main viticulture region of Georgia and offers you to visit the best wineries. Taste wines from the unique grape varieties, and get acquainted with the traditional and classic methods of winemaking.

Pick up from your stay at 09:00 and drive to the eastern part of Georgia – Kakheti.
The region produces the approximately 80% of the country’s wine, where the 15 appellation are located out of state’s total 25. The first wine stop is at the village Manavi – Giuaani winery. Have a first wine tasting here and get to know more about the signature of this winery, using traditional and classic methods of winemaking.
Head to town Sighnaghi and walk along the medieval curtain wall - stunning views are opening over the Alazani valley and peaks of the Greater Caucasus mountains. Visit Okro`s Wines and taste a bio wine from Kakhetian grape varieties: Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane and Saperavi. All wine production process here is hand-made, in accordance of traditional method (fermenting, storing, aging in Qvevri-clay vessel). The lunch is served after wine tasting.
Continue the wine rout to Tsinandali estate. This is the zone for dry white wine, blend of Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane grapes. Guided excursion in the House-Museum of Alexander Chavchavadze - a poet and noblemen, the founder of Georgian classic winemaking study, who bottled the wine in 19th c. Taste a glass of wine, visit enotheca and walk in a beautiful garden.
After the excursion, leave for KisisKhevi village.
Dinner and overnight in KisisKhevi at Schuchmann Wines Chateau & Spa

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning drive to Shilda village.
The first local wine cellar is ‘’Chubini’’ – owned by a young winemaker who will introduce his story and technologies. Wine tasting and lunch at Chubini.
Continue the tour in Kvareli (PDO, red dry wine made by Saperavi grape) and visit one of the largest wine storage – Khareba Wine Cave. Company comprises vineyards and wine producing factories, as in the east (Kvareli) as in the west part (Terjola) of Georgia. Khareba produces 50 types of wine from 25 vine varieties and has 7 PDO wines. The location of the winery is impressive, the 7.7-meter tunnel is carved in Caucasus mountains; natural temperature (12-14 degrees) inside creates superb conditions for storing and aging of wine. The tour starts from the tunnel, where you can get detailed information about the history of the winery and current position in local, worldwide markets. Have wine tasting of selected wines.
Next visit Corporation Kindzmarauli in Kvareli. JSC “Corporation Kindzmarauli” is Georgian Wine Producing Company, in Kvareli - one of the most beautiful towns in Kakheti.The history of the wine cellar dates back to 1533, when Levan, the King of Kakheti, established a traditional wine cellar at the territory of historical Kvareli fortress. During the peaceful times, this wine cellar produced wine for the Royal Family, while during the wartime, when the population used Kvareli fortress as a shelter, the wine cellar had a strategic importance in feeding of the population.
Drive back to Kisiskhevi. Dinner and overnight in Kisiskhevi at Schuchmann Wines Chateau & Spa.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Telavi city – administrative center of Kakheti region. Have excursion at Batonis Tsikhe fort, served as the residence of Kakhetian kings between 17th-18th centuries. The complex consists of King Erekle Second`s Palace, 2 churches, and a royal bathhouse. Have free time in the city and afterward head to the village of Vardisubani located in 5 km from Telavi. Visit Kbilashvili family with 4 generations of Qvevri manufacturing history. Get acquainted with the Qvevri making by its master Zaza. Have family lunch and wine-tasting.
Continue exploring Qvevri wines in Akhmeta town. Visit Lekso`s Winery owned by a local winemaker Lekso, producing unusual blending of rare Kakhetian grape varieties. He will give you information about his winemaking history and technologies.
Drive to Tbilisi through the Tsiv-Gombori mountain range.
