Have a great day!
In the morning we pick you up from the hotel.
Drive to the eastern part of Georgia, Kakheti – the largest wine growing region, where about 80% of Georgia’s wine production is located.
Our first wine stop is the village Manavi. The winery Giuaani offers the wine made from local grape variety of Manani's Mtsvane, which is translated as Green color of Manavi. Giuaani is using both, traditional and classic methods of winemaking. Learn more about the signature of this winery and taste the wines.
Explore the fortified town Sighnaghi. Follow the cobbled roads and walk along the famous medieval wall of Sighnaghi, from where you will discover stunning views of the Alazani valley and Greater Caucasus mountains in the background.
Visit Okro`s Wines in Sighnaghi. "Okro" means Gold. The wines here have color of a real gold. The winery focuses on organic vine growing and natural winemaking technology; Okro produces wine from Kakhetian grape varieties: Rkatisteli’, Mtsvane, Saperavi’, etc. Wines are fermented, stored and aged in Qvevri - the underground clay vessels. A wine tasting and lunch is served here.
Enjoy the fascinating views of Alazani valley and drive back to Tbilisi.
Visit our last wine spot in Kakabeti village – Vellino. It is owned by a young winemaker Beka Jimsheladze. He produces premium class Qvevri wines from local Kakhetian grape varieties. This winery has taken part in various wine exhibitions and festivals, and is honored by the number of local and international awards.
After a visit to Vellino, drive back to Tbilisi hotel.
We wish to be your host on Georgian roads again!
