First part of the drive goes along beautiful canyon with mineral springs and caves. Start at 9:00 AM. After a light breakfast, we are going to continue for our 5 days trekking in the mountains of Egrisi. The trail crosses small mountain river and enters into alpine zone. After about 3-hour hike, we are going to approach a steep pass that lies right before the first alpine lake where we set up the camp. Keep in mind that the other side of the pass is permanently covered in snow and ice, so going down is a bit tricky even in summer time.
Overnight in tents.

After a short hike towards to the largest of two neighboring lake, the “Big” or “Greater Tobavarchkhili” lake, we will set up a camp  and spend most of the day exploring the surrounding area (Hike “b”)  and small alpine lakes nearby (Didghele, Kaliashi and Tsakatskali) . Arguably – this is one of the best camping spots in all of Georgia. Even though lakes might be ice cold even during the hot August days – you shouldn’t miss your opportunity to swim. Dinner at the campsite.
Overnight in tents.

After breakfast, we will again cross a small pass and head down towards the beginning of Khobistkali gorge to visit a couple of smaller mountain lakes.  A few kilometers later the trail heads back and down in the direction of the Magana river valley, where we make a leisurely rest stop close to a 40 meters high waterfall and enjoy a well earned snack. With luck, we will meet some  local shepherds, stop for a chat and watch them making traditional Megrelian dish called Elarji, made from coarse cornmeal, cornflour and Sulguni cheese.
Overnight in tents, nearby Shepherds hut.

From the Dzhikhiri campsite, our path crosses the right bank of the Magana River, and heads down towards the Jalari campsite. After climbing up on a mountain slope we'll start walking on an old dirt road along the river Tskhvashela valley, till reaching the campsite called Kirnakho.
