A private tour takes you to the western regions of the country. Trip covers the shores of the Black Sea, highlands of the Greater Caucasus Mountains in Svaneti, major cities of the west GeorgiaBatumi and Kutaisi, and karst caves and canyons of Imereti province. Accompanied by the professional guide and driver, travelers will be able to witness interesting mixture of the nature of the South Caucasus region and authentic culture of the local communities.

Day to day

Meet the Georgian guide at the Batumi International Airport. Drive to Batumi.
Overnight in Batumi.

After breakfast at the hotel we start Batumi sightseeing tour – we are going to visit Piazza Square in the city center, the Nobel Brothers Batumi Technological Museum that represents technological achievements from 19th and early 20th century, statues of Jason and Medea from Greek mythology, and boulevards of the city.
After Batumi sightseeing tour we drive to the north. Next stop is Zugdidi, administrative center of Samegrelo region. Here, we are going to visit the major attraction of the town – Dadiani Palace and its history and architectural museum. The palace of the local family of dukes, nobles and princes, is turned into a national museum that houses some of the important exhibits of the cultural heritage of Georgia.
From Zugdidi we continue our way to Svaneti and arrive at the administrative center of the province – Mestia, located at an elevation of 1500 meters.
Overnight at Mestia.

After breakfast at the hotel we take off to explore the mountainous Svaneti region. We drive on 4x4 WD jeeps to Ushguli – one of the highest permanently inhabited settlements in Europe that comprises of in total 4 villages. The whole Ushguli area has been recognized by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Remote and inaccessible location of Ushguli has been the major reason why its authentic way of life, culture and architecture (e.g. Svan towers) has been well-preserved.
On our way to the village we make several stops – at the villages of Ipari and Kala. We can also take a short walk towards foothills of the Shkhara Glacier – the highest of peak in Georgia (5193 m above the sea level).
In the evening we drive back to Mestia.

On day 4 after breakfast at the hotel we head to the Margiani Museum. Museum belongs to Margiani family and shows the way of life of Svans from medieval times and authentic forms of architecture, such as the Svan Tower.
From Mestia we drive to the south and get to Nokalakevi. Nokalakevi is a large excavation site where archaeologists found ancient city and fortress of Archaeopolis, as well as lots of gold and silver artifacts from the Hellenistic and Byzantine periods that are now preserved in the Georgian National Museum.
From Nokalakevi we drive to Kutaisi – administrative center of Imereti province and the capital of Kingdom of Georgia and Kingdom of Imereti during different periods in history.
Kutaisi is famous for its monuments recognized as World Heritage sites by the UNESCO – Bagrati Cathedral  built in the 11th c., and Gelati Monastery and Academy, established in the 12th c. Built in the Georgian Golden Era, both of these monuments represent important cultural, historical and architectural heritage of Georgia. Moreover, situated on the hill in the heart of the city, Bagrati Cathedral is considered as a symbol of Kutaisi.
Afterwards we can take a walk in Kutaisi farmers’ market, where locals are selling various fruit, vegetables and famous Imeretian cheese.

After breakfast is at the hotel we drive to explore Prometheus Cave – one of the most popular tourist attractions of the region. Prometheus cave, also known as Kumistavi, is one of the biggest karst caves in Georgia. Cave has 1.2 km trail open for tourists. If the weather is good, the visitors can take a boat trip and take a look at the unique sightseeing inside the cave system.
From Prometheus we continue to Martvili Canyons where we can make a boat trip in the river Abasha, and observe the surrounding area.
Overnight in Kutaisi.

Note: Prometheus cave and Martvili Canyon is not open for visitors on Mondays.

After breakfast we at the hotel we drive to Adjara province and its administrative center Batumi, second largest city in Georgia.  On day 6 we have Batumi city tour. We are going to visit Piazza square in the city center, and statues of Jason and Medea – famous characters from Greek mythology, sculpture of Ali and Nino by Tamara Kvesitadze, and finally, take a walk along the boulevards of Batumi.
Overnight in Batumi.

After buffet breakfast at the hotel we head to the Batumi Botanical Garden, located at the place called “Green Cape”. Batumi Botanical Garden was established in the late 19th century and expanded later. It is one of the largest botanical gardens in the former Soviet Union. Garden is unique for its rich collection the combinations of species from completely different climatic zones.
From Batumi Botanical Garden we continue to the ancient Gonio Fortress. Gonio Fortress is a well-preserved Roman fortification located in about 10 km from Batumi.
In the evening we come back to Batumi.

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Batumi. Departure from Batumi Airport.

Cancellation is free of charge prior 31 days of the starting day.
-    The booking deposit 30 Euro is non-refundable in case of cancellation of the tour after booking has been confirmed. The fee is kept as a deposit on the Tourist’s account for future booking(s).

If Tourist cancels the booked tour for some reasons not depending on Tour Operator, the following sums are kept back as a fine:
-    10% of total cost of tourist product in case of cancellation 30 days prior to the tour;
-    50% of total cost of tourist product in case of tour cancellation 15-7 days prior to the tour;
-    90% of total cost of tourist product in case of tour cancellation 7 and fewer days prior to the tour;
-    99% of total cost of tourist product due to the Tourist's failure to appear at the airport no more than 2 hours prior to departure or non-admission on the flight owing to circumstances beyond the Tour Operator's controls.
