This one-day winter tour to Kazbegi leads you to the Northern region of Georgia Khevi province, passing some of the most popular attractions on the way. Travelers are going to visit Zhinvali reservoir, Ananuri Architectural Complex, Stepantsminda and the History Museum located in the town. Additionally, if weather is good enough, it is also possible to make a hike to mount Gergeti.

Day to day

Morning pick-up from the hotel. Drive to the north through the Georgian Military Road. Upon arrival, visit Stepantsminda History Museum, located in the memorial house of famous writer Alexander Kazbegi and housing his personal belongings, as well as various ethnographic artifacts collected from the mountainous province of Khevi.
If weather is good enough, it is possible to make a hike to Mount Gergeti, where Gergeti Trinity Church is located overlooking town Kazbegi (Stepantsminda) and the surrounding area. Gergeti dates back to the 14th century and the ancient wall carvings are preserved well on the facade of the church. Church is located under the magnificent peak of Mount Kazbegi (5033 m).
Afterwards, drive back towards Tbilisi and have a lunch in one of local restaurant on route. Next stop is Ananuri Architectural Complex, located near Zhinvali reservoir. Explore the 16th-17th cc fortifications and enjoy the views of Zhinvali and its surroundings.
In the evening drive back to Tbilisi.

Cancellation is free of charge prior 31 days of the starting day.

  • The booking deposit 200 Euro (or a special sum for combined tours with Azerbaijan and Armenia) is non-refundable in case of cancellation of the tour after booking has been confirmed. The fee is kept as a deposit on the Tourist’s account for future booking(s).

If Tourist cancels the booked tour for some reasons not depending on Tour Operator, the following sums are kept back as a fine:

  • 10% of total cost of tourist product in case of cancellation 30 days prior to the tour;
  • 50% of total cost of tourist product in case of tour cancellation 15-7 days prior to the tour;
  • 90% of total cost of tourist product in case of tour cancellation 7 and fewer days prior to the tour;
  • 99% of total cost of tourist product due to the Tourist's failure to appear at the airport no more than 2 hours prior to departure or non-admission on the flight owing to circumstances beyond the Tour Operator's controls.
