Day to day

In the morning, head to Gonio (Apsaros) Fortress – ancient fortress and an archaeological site. Numerous legends are connecting Gonio to the Greek mythology about Medea, Golden Fleece, etc.

Next stop at the Green Cape – Batumi Botanical garden. Established on the Green Cape in 1912, by the Geographer and botanist Andrey Krasnov, the territory of the garden is covered by Colchic Forests and evergreen sub-forest. It is possible to sightsee the park either on foot or by the electric vehicle, which can be rented near the entrances at the administration.

Have a Lunch at a nearby café.

On the way back to the city, pay a visit to the Nobel Brothers Technological Museum, located in Batumi. Among the other interesting artifacts, you can find the famous photos of Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky – the pioneer of color photography.

Start a walking tour from Europe Square, near the statue of Medea by Davit Khmaladze. Hear the story about the Greek legend of the Golden Fleece, the story of city Batumi and the Adjara region, and walk through the narrow old streets. Head to Batumi Art museum. Museum houses paintings of famous Georgian and foreign artists and drawing works, sculptures, as well as samples of decorative art.

Next, we stop at Piazza square and take a look at the Era’s Square & Poseidon statue.

The Statue was put up in front of the Batumi Drama Theater. Head to the seaside boulevard through the main entrance and enjoy the lights of the dancing fountains. Visit moving sculptures of Ali and Nino by Tamara Kvesitadze. Ride up to Anuria Mountain by cable car, 250 meters high above the sea level.
